Everything You Need to Know About Unilag DLI Form 2023/2024

The Unilag DLI program is a distance learning initiative (DLI) offered by the University of Lagos (Unilag) in Nigeria. It is designed for working professionals who are unable to attend full-time, on-campus programs to earn a degree from the University of Lagos. The DLI offers undergraduate degree programs in various fields, including Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, and Education.

The following courses are available for prospective students seeking admission into Unilag DLI

8. B.Sc. Mathematics Education

10. B.Sc. Business Education
11. B.Ed. Early Childhood Education 12. B.A. Education English.

The duration of most Unilag DLi programmes is five academic sessions. That is, the programmes are expected to run for five years.

If you’re interested in applying to the University of Lagos Distance Learning Institute, here are the requirements:
1. If you have a WAEC, SSCE, GCE, NECO, or equivalent with credits in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics, plus any other three relevant subjects, you can apply.
2. You can apply if you have a degree from the University of Lagos or any other recognized university in a relevant field.
3. You can also apply if you have a Higher National Diploma (HND), National Diploma (ND), or National Certificate in Education (NCE) in a relevant field.
4. If you have a recognized professional qualification like ACA, ANAN, ACCA, ACMA, ACIA, ACIS, ACIB, or CII, you might be considered for admission at an enhanced level. But you need to have five credits in relevant subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Economics, plus any other two relevant subjects.
5. Applicants for Distance Learning Institute programme shall not be less than 16 years of age by 31st October, 2023.
Please note that depending on your qualifications, you might be admitted at year one, two, or three. Also, make sure to input and upload all your exam numbers and certificates on the application portal.- If you’re applying with post “O” Level qualifications like Degrees, HND, NCE, OND, or professional qualifications, you need to send in your academic transcripts to the institute secretary, Distance learning Institute, University of Lagos.

To apply for the UNILAG DLI program, you need to follow these two stages:
STAGE 1:
1. Go to the JAMB CAP website and register for Part-Time.
2. Pay #3,500 to get your registration number.
STAGE 2:
1. Go to the UNILAG application portal at http://applications.unilag.edu.ng.
2. Click “Start Fresh Application”.
3. Select Distance Learning Institute and provide your personal details and JAMB registration number.
4. Pay the application fee of N17,500 online or print the payment advice and pay at a commercial bank.
5. After payment, log in to the application portal, enter your payment reference number and your surname as the password in lower case.
6. Complete all required details and upload necessary documents such as your testimonial, birth certificate, ‘O’ Level certificate, NYSC certificate or exemption certificate(for direct entry candidates), and marriage certificate (for married women only).
7. Complete the application form, submit online, and print a copy. You can also save your application form and complete it later if needed.
