Comic reliefs are necessary in tragedies to calm the tension of the audience having seen some horrific scenes or events. They have the effect of creating a fine balance in tragedies such that the funny events and actors drag the minds of the audience to hilarious and calm situations outside the surrounding pitiful purgation of emotions.
