23\(_y\) = 1111\(_{\text{two}}\),

2 x y\(^1\) + 3 x y\(^0\) = 1 x 2\(^3\) + 1 x 2\(^1\) + 1 x 2\(^o\) 

2y + 3 = 8 + 4 + 2 + 1 

2y + 3 = 15 

\(\frac{2y}{2}\)

\(\frac{12}{2}\) 

y = 6
